KCC Alumnae Singing in Historic Ensemble

Updated: Oct 28

KCC alumnae, Hannah Daniel ('21), is a member of the highly prestigious and historic vocal ensemble, The Fisk Jubilee Singers.

After graduating from Northmont High School, Hannah moved to Tennessee to attend Fisk University and study Biology and Business Administration.

Less than 20 singers are admitted to the a cappella ensemble each year, and Hannah has been a member since her first audition during her freshman year at the University. She tours the country several times each year while keeping her grades at the highest level.

"As a current Fisk Jubilee Singer, I am immensely grateful to all of my directors and everyone who poured into me during my time with Kettering Children's Choir! Thank you to Mr. Swank, who as my favorite music teacher in elementary introduced me to KCC and instilled a great love of all types of music. Thank you to Mr. Jauss, Mrs. Smith, and Dr. Tipps, who were all amazing directors throughout my time and continued to nurture my love of music. While in KCC, I grew not only in my technical abilities, but also my tenacity to tell a story through my singing. The lessons you all imparted continue to guide me as I travel across the country, spreading the historic legacy of the Jubilee Singers. Thank you, KCC! I would not be here without the dedication and lasting impact you’ve had on my musical journey!"
